Ahmedabad 29th January 2025 – The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad, pioneered the launch of International Programme on ‘New Enterprise Creation and Skill Upgradation’ in French language. The programme is supported by the ITEC (Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation) Division of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. Beginning from January 29, 2025 it will continue till February 11, 2025.
This programme brings together 16 professionals from 9 ITEC partner countries—Republic of Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Mauritius, Niger, South Africa, Tajikistan, Tunisia, and Uganda. The participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to identify entrepreneurial opportunities, leverage untapped markets, and create business ventures by applying existing technologies to new markets.
The programme was inaugurated on January 30, 2025 by Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII, who emphasized the importance of entrepreneurial dynamics in fostering bilateral trade and offering it in regional language makes the comprehension easy. “The programme addresses the worldwide need of promoting entrepreneurship to ensure economic growth and sustainability. And, offering it in French helps overcome the linguistic barrier promoting easy connection, exchange of ideas and imbibing of knowledge by the participants. It’s a step towards creating a robust global entrepreneurial ecosystem that transcends language barriers,” said Dr. Shukla.
The course module covers essential areas such as environmental sustainability, resource management, supply chain systems, and the intricacies of entrepreneurship, including business opportunity guidance, accounting and book-keeping, product costing, and legal compliance. The training will also include modules on behavioral aspects like risk-taking and critical aspects for nurturing entrepreneurial traits.Participants will benefit from hands-on activities like developing market surveys, drafting business plans, and understanding the financial aspects of running a business
What sets this programme apart is its complete immersion in French, ensuring that the course material, instructions, and even communication are tailored for theFrench-speaking participants. A dedicated French interpreter ensures seamless engagement with all participants, providing them with a comprehensive learning experience. To further enhance accessibility, the programme includes specially designed information kits and training modules in French.
