Ahmedabad May 2024: The Liquid Edge, an exhibition of remarkable canvas paintings by internationally acclaimed artist Avi Patel, began at Amdavad ni Gufa on Tuesday, offering art enthusiasts to immerse themselves in captivating artworks.
Avi Patel’s latest collection promises to mesmerise audiences with its unique charm and artistic essence. Patel, whose journey in art began as a childhood passion, has since evolved into an internationally acclaimed artist, captivating audiences with her soulful creations and passion for creativity.
“I am super excited to invite art lovers to experience ‘The Liquid Edge’, a key milestone in my artistic journey and creative expression. For me, art is not just a medium of expression, but a reflection of my soul and a journey of self-discovery. Through this exhibition, I aim to share my passion for art and evoke emotions that resonate with the visitors,” says Avi Patel, who has been pursuing her passion for painting since she was just 11 years old.
Pravinsinh Solanki, Discipline Lead for Furniture and Interior Design at the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, was among the dignitaries who graced the inauguration of the exhibition.
“The Liquid Edge” embodies Avi Patel’s artistic philosophy, symbolising that appearances can be deceiving. The exhibition features a diverse range of artistic expressions, which showcase her unique perspective on life and art. Each canvas on display embodies the concept of “imperfectly perfect”, showcasing beautifully flawed perfection and inviting viewers to explore the hidden layers of complexity beneath the surface.
“More than just a collection of paintings, the exhibition is a profound exploration of emotions, perceptions, and the essence of art itself. Through each brushstroke and every colour palette, I have aimed to convey the fluidity of life and the beauty of imperfection,” says Avi Patel, whose journey from the streets of Ahmedabad to the global stage of art acclaim is marked by pivotal moments, including prestigious exhibitions and international recognition.
