GUJARAT, AHMEDABAD 16 APRIL, 2025: The much-awaited SPL Tennis Cricket Tournament kicked off its grand journey with an unforgettable opening ceremony held aboard the majestic Akshar River Cruise on April 13, 2025. As the sun glistened over the calm waters, the event brought together sports, celebration, and a powerful message of community service. The cruise was attended by approximately 94 esteemed guests, including respected members of the Sindhi Samaj and prominent personalities from various fields.
The presence of the brand ambassador, Pavan Sindhi, added charm to the day. He has not only been the face of the tournament but also a strong supporter of the cause behind it. Also in attendance was Suman Chellani, a well-known name who further lit up the occasion with her graceful presence. Their participation helped draw more attention to the SPL tournament’s noble mission: supporting the education of young girls through sports and social action.
The SPL Tournament is being organized by the Sindhu Shiksha Seva Committee, a group deeply committed to social welfare. A total of 12 cricket teams are participating in this high-energy tournament, which will run from April 14 to April 28, 2025. With around 160 skilled players, the tournament promises to deliver thrilling matches, filled with passion, energy, and a strong sense of sportsmanship. The winning team will receive a grand cash prize of ₹2,60,000, a huge motivation for teams to bring their best to the pitch.

All expenses of the event are fully funded by the Sindhu Shiksha Seva Committee, which has consistently demonstrated its commitment to girl child education. Last year,Amit Gangwani, Prakash Makhija,and Rajesh Ravalani donated an impressive ₹1620000to support girls’ education. That donation helped many young girls receive the learning opportunities they deserve and build a better future. This year, the committee aims to surpass that record by raising even more funds through the SPL event.
