All Gujarat Squash Racquet Association hosts Gujarat State Closed Squash Tournament 2024, under the aegis of Squash Racquet Federation of India

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat State Closed Squash Tournament 2024, organised by the All Gujarat Squash Racquet Association recently, concluded at the prestigious Belvedere Golf and Country Club by Adani realty in Adani Shantigram.

The tournament, held from August 15 to 16, witnessed enthusiastic participation from 83 players from across Gujarat, showcasing their skills and passion for the sport. The tournament featured several categories with players vying for the spot spot in their respective groups. There was intense competition in the matches, with players displaying exceptional skills and determination.

Bhanupratapsinh Wala, Secretary of All Gujarat Squash Racquet Association, said, “The Gujarat State Closed Squash Tournament 2024 has once again proven the immense sporting talent in our state. We are proud to have provided a platform for youth athletes to showcase their skills. The participation of 83 players from across the state shows the growing popularity of squash in Gujarat.”

The players were divided into different age categories for the tournament. Kiaan Kanade was the winner in the boys under 15 category. Hetansh Kalariya and Harmandeep Thakur finished as the runner-up and second runner-up respectively. Harshil Shah was the winner in the boys under 19 category, with Rohan Mansighani finishing as the runner-up and Rishi Bhandari as the second runner-up.

Shahbaj Khan was the winner in the men’s category. Amit Singhvi was the runner-up and Siddharth Vinod was the second runner-up.

Miraya Patel was the winner in the girls under 11 category. Anahita Agrawal and Misha Lotia finished as the runner-up and second runner-up respectively. Anya Nagpal won in the girls under 17 category. Yadavi Lotia was the first runner-up and Krishitabh Palaniya was the second runner-up.

Dhritih Kandpal was the winner in the women’s category, with Neaketa Chawla finishing as the runner-up. Drashti Makhecha was the second runner-up in the women’s category.
