Ahmedabad 22 October 2024 – The Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Skyline, the largest Rotary club in Gujarat, has proudly contributed 51,000 diyas to the Ayodhya Deepotsav as part of My FM 94.3’s nationwide initiative.
This year, the Ayodhya Deepotsav is set to break its own Guinness World Record by lighting over 25 lakh diyas, and Skyline’s contribution represents 2% of this monumental total.
Each of the club’s 300+ members played a vital role in this effort, contributing one or more diyas, with donations ranging from 11 to 2,500 per member. This massive collective effort demonstrates the club’s commitment to unity, community, and spreading light across the nation.
RJ Charmy from My FM 94.3 visited Fashion TV Café in Ahmedabad to personally collect the diyas from Skyline members in a joyous handover ceremony. Members were excited to see their diya donations become part of this world-record celebration.
Saurabh Khandelwal, President of Rotary Club of Ahmedabad Skyline, expressed his pride, stating, “As the largest Rotary club in Gujarat, it’s an honor for our 300+ members to contribute to this historic event. Every diya symbolizes the spirit of Diwali—bringing light, hope, and togetherness. Being part of the Ayodhya Deepotsav world record is thrilling, but what’s more meaningful is knowing that we are part of something larger, spreading joy and positivity across the country.”
He added, “Our 51,000 diyas, along with the 25 lakh others, will create a sea of light in Ayodhya, and we are proud to be part of this grand event. We thank My FM 94.3 and RJ Charmy for involving us in this inspiring initiative.”
